About PSBI

PSBI has been so constituted as to secure suitable representation of: Government of India, State Governments/Union Territories in which there are Schools affiliated to PSBI, the Inter-State Board for Uniform and Anglo-Indian Education, the Association of Indian Universities, the Association of Heads of Anglo-Indian Schools, the Indian Public Schools’ Conference, the Association of Schools for the Members co-opted by the Executive Committee of PSBI

Early Beginnings

In 2020, when was the Covid 19 pandemic inter in India and schools begin to shut down. In the period, a meeting was held of non-affiliated school under the Chairmanship of Ramnaresh Kumar Ratnakar, Director of a Non-affiliated school The Spectra School, Bhagwanpur, Muzaffarpur, Bihar. The main purpose of the meeting was to consider the formation an association to help to protect School in critical condition. This set the agenda for the establishment of the all India association, Named The Spectra Educational Welfare Association, Registered by MSME. In Early March 2021 at the meeting of the Members for continue to educate the students and increase members, a proposal was adopted for the setting up to register the association by MCA, but name was not available in MCA so that the association finally registered on 07 April 2021 with new name Spectpali Educational Welfare Association in MCA (Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India).

In August 2021, school reopens after lockdown 2. The members of association decided, the association need to solve the educational and operational related problems of non-affiliated private schools and their students. The association now changed into Preblic (Prep+Public) School Board of India (PSBI). In the second meeting of PSBI, the members decided again that name of the board Preblic School Board of India change into Public School Board of India. In Last November 2021, finally the association adopt new name Public School Board of India, but the members decided to increase the members’ schools and plan to Permission from state or central government for Public Examination (10th or 12th) in future. In 2 or 3 years, the board will try to get permission, as a body conducting "public" examinations.

finally , in January 2022 , we got the recognition of the Council. The permanent members passed the idea that now more and more non-affiliated private schools will be given affiliated from their Council.

As a leader in the provision of world-wide educational endeavors, the future plan of PSBI, to follow of many forums such as the Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE), State Education Departments, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT), the Ministry for Human Resource Development and the Planning Commission, affirming the intrinsic integrity and credibility of the association and the system it espouses.

Examinations

The Council, PSBI Educational Council doesn’t conduct public examination, namely, the Secondary Examination (SE –Class X); Senior Secondary Examination (SSE - ClassXII) and any other public examination academic or vocational. The board manages only the subject’s choices and syllabuses prescribed for the non-affiliated school and aimed at nurturing the unique gifts of individual pupils

Class X

Preparation of Public Examination Board:-

  • If we have sufficient number of school, we can demand for public examination board from the State or Central government according the constitution of India. The board doesn’t conduct public examination like 10th or 12th (Secondary or Senior Secondary). If the board recognized by the government, then a separate school will be opened for secondary or Senior Secondary keeping in mind the standard of CBSE/ICSE or government school.

Class XII

Preparation of Public Examination Board:-

  • If we have sufficient number of school, we can demand for public examination board from the State or Central government according the constitution of India. The board doesn’t conduct public examination like 10th or 12th (Secondary or Senior Secondary). If the board recognized by the government, then a separate school will be opened for secondary or Senior Secondary keeping in mind the standard of CBSE/ICSE or government school.

VOCATIONAL COURSE

  • If we have sufficient number of school, we can conduct special vocational/diploma course

National Competitions

The Council conducts, All-India Inter-School Debate, All-India Inter-School Creative Writing competitions, Sports Competition, Art & Craft, Cultural and many more thereby underpinning the critical importance of creativity and the ability to articulate one's thoughts in writing and speech in school education.

Awards

Topper Award:-

Class wise, School wise, District wise, State wise and All India topper get prizes. We, You, Students and Parents all together consider it, like a festival four times in an academic year.

SCHEME OF NATIONAL AWARDS TO MEMBERS OF PSBI- NEWDELHI

AWARDS FOR SCHOOLS, TEACHERS AND PRINCIPALS

Every year, the Council also allots one "special" award for schools, teachers, and principals promoting Integrated Inclusive Education in schools. Each Award carries with it a Certificate of Merit, a cash payment minimum of each stage Rs.5000 and a silver medal. Teachers/Principals of schools membered to the board and members of the Association of upper-primary private (affiliated to PSBI) are eligible for this award. Teachers with at least fifteen years regular teaching experience and Headmasters/Principals with twenty years of regular teaching experience who are also involved in active teaching shall be considered for these awards. The Department of PSBI and Amarpali Group has allotted one such award to teachers of school membered to Public School Board of India.

Training

The Council carries out training on a gamut of educational concerns, geared towards improving or affirming teaching practices in the classroom, new syllabi thrusts or managerial skills in education. Requests for training may be made to the Council office or Supported services providers. The training certificate provided by the Council is also Supported by skill India and NSDC, Government of india (TP104390)

Special Mention

The Council , PSBI Educational Council doesn’t conduct public examination, namely, the Secondary Examination (SE –Class X); Senior Secondary Examination (SSE - ClassXII) and any other public examination academic or vocational. Membership

  1. The School must obtain registered by recognized authority (District Education Department) and have UDISE code.
  2. The school should be run by a Registered Society/ Trust/Company registered under Section 25 (1)(a)/8 (1) of the Companies Act, 1956/2013 and one of the principal purposes of the Society/ Trust/Company must be Educational.
  3. Each school must have a properly constituted Governing Body and Managing Committee
  4. The Society/ Trust/Company should have financial stability.
  5. The medium of instruction in the school must be English or local Indian language.
  6. The staff must be qualified and trained in accordance with the qualifications prescribed by the Board. They must be paid salaries at rates, including allowances.
  7. There should be a Compulsory Provident Fund Scheme.
  8. The school infrastructure should be adequate for accommodating the numbers and gender of pupils attending the school.
  9. The playing fields and/or other facilities for extra-curricular and co-curricular activities must be adequate. Special attention must be paid to physical education, art and music.
  10. The number of working days and hours should conform to those prescribed by the board from time to time.

Visions

The Council is actively involved in studying areas of concern in education in order to provide new insights, dispel myths and provoke new responses in order to deliver more effective teaching – learning provisions. The divisions are also keenly involved in developing new syllabuses, curriculum frameworks and assessment systems to make education relevant, challenging and exciting
